What changed in each Tessellate release.
Version 0.1.0
The first Tessellate
- A new name: Tessera is now Tessellate. Your games, profiles and saves came with you.
- Split-screen co-op for games that were never made for it: one copy of the game per player, a controller each, all the windows tiled on one screen. Terraria and tModLoader first.
- Profiles with their own saves where the game allows, colours, pictures and a 3D character.
- Controllers that nap: a pad that falls asleep mid-game finds its player again when it wakes.
- Add game: Steam games, native co-op games, emulators and community patterns converted from the Nucleus hub, from one search box.
- Party night: lineups, a random game picker, a scoreboard and an optional Discord status.
- Couch mode: a big-screen home you drive with a controller from the sofa.
- Stats, achievements and Couch quests, plus Tessellate Wrapped for your year of game nights.
- Save backups and a
.tessellatefile to move everything to another PC. - Health checks what could get in the way before you press Play.
- Updates: Tessellate looks for a new version and asks before installing; never during a game.
